One thing that interests many if not most of us Provoans is a resolution
_and a public hearing_ to approve modifying the terms of the loan
payments that Broadweave Networks is making on behalf of Provo City for
the fiber optic network formerly called iProvo. Search the newspaper
websites for "Broadweave Veracity" to get the background from the last
two weeks. I am cautiously optimistic about it.
/AND on any of these meeting items -- if you have a question don't

[email protected] to get more details -- many times there are
documents that go along with the agenda items!/

Action Agenda:
A. Broadweave/Veracity Merger
1. A resolution approving amendments to the transaction documents between Provo City Corporation, Broadweave Networks of Provo LLC, and Broadweave Networks Inc. for the sale of Provo City's fiber-to-the-premises communications network known as iProvo, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the amending agreements and take any action necessary to implement the agreements.
2. A public hearing to consider a resolution approving an interfund loan in the amount of $820,000 from the Energy Fund to the Telecommunication Debt Service Fund at an interest rate of 5.17% and applying to the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.
B. Annexation
A public hearing to consider an ordinance annexing 346.72 acres of real property located generally from Geneva Road to Utah Lake between approximately 1300 North and 2000 North. Lakeview North Neighborhood. 08-0001A.
C. Land Use Legislation
1. A public hearing to consider an ordinance enacting Chapter 14.49E
(Villages at Celebration [SDP-5] Specific Development Plan Overlay Zone) and
amending Section 14.49.100 (Specific Development Plan Zones Adopted) of the
Provo City Code. 08-0010OA.
2. A public hearing to consider an ordinance changing the zone
classification of 292.96 acres of real property, located generally from Geneva
Road to Utah Lake between 1300 North and 2000 North , from R1.20 (One-Family
Residential) to SDP-5 (Villages at Celebration Specific Development Plan
Overlay). Lakeview North Neighborhood. 08-0010OA.
