Can we take this off of the list? I haven't found anything in the rules that
says I can't ask the list for references. I'd like the list Mod. to correct
me here and now if I'm wrong on this point.

There isn't any reason for us to get petty over the subject, I asked a
legitimate question, that (cheap or not) is perfectly legal on this list.
Not only that, but I had the full permission of the person in question to do
so.

If you have a problem with it (or any post I make in the future) why not
e-mail me personally with your complaint (really, if Matt has a problem with
it, he has a keyboard too and is perfectly capable of speaking up if an
injustice was done to him). Better yet, change the list rules, and I'll
abide by it.

The whole reason I joined this list was to meet and share information with
other Newton users and hopefully become one again myself. I asked for the
reference because (and it is quite common practice) I thought people would
like to share the good experiences that they've had with a member of the
list. It is HELPFUL information, and all I wanted were personal replies
saying, "yes he's great" or vice versa. This protects all of us, and I think
it is a fair use of the list as a resource. (I've been ripped off more than
once for large trades (and this is large for me) by not checking resources
beyond the seller).

If you can tell me why this wouldn't be fair use of the list, please do so,
personally. In fact, I'd like to hear from anyone sharing Tom's sentiment;
I'm not looking to make anyone on this list cross with me.

Ok, I promise, this is the last post I'll make on the subject. I'm sorry
that human nature compelled me to ignore my better sense and send it to
everyone: P: P: P.

To keep this more On topic, is it possible to expand the memory of a Newton
2100 beyond the 4-5 meg limit? I seem to remember seeing something like a
SIM in my last 2000. Is that for the ROM?

Regards,

Eagan Rackley
