<http://www.batteriesamerica.com/> has 2000mAh AA Nickel Metal Hydride cells which are just amazing! I've been using them to drive long lengths of electroluminescent wire and they've been lasting twice as long as the 1600 mAh NiMH cells. I highly recommend them. Don't let the $3.50 per battery price scare you. According to a comparison I recently read (and downloaded, but damned if I can find the PDF :-) the cost of a single-use alkaline cell (think Duracell) is about 2000 times more expensive! Argh! Anyway, I bought 32 of these to be really lit up during Burning Man, and they get two thumbs-up from me. And my cheapie Radio Shack charger does these in a few hours. My 2000 mAh worth :-) M -- Michael "Mickey" Sattler, Geek Times <mailto:michael@;GeekTimes.com> San Francisco, California, USA <http://www.GeekTimes.com/michael/> AIM: "SF Geek" <--- trying to see whether it's worthwhile to keep on I was born not knowing and have had only a little time to change that here and there. -- Richard Feynman (1918 - 1988) -- NewtonList is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
