Hello everybody,

we're running an NfSen 1.2.4 installation together with nfdump 1.5.

We now have to migrate the data to an NfSen installation based on
snapshot-20070312
together with nfdump snapshot-20070312.

Migrating, i.e. copying the flowdata itself (nfcapd.*) shouldn't be a problem
from
what I understand, but IIRC the RRD format has changed.

Most profiles can simply be added again and NfSen should take care of
everything. But
how about the RRDs for the live profile?

 ./nfsen -r live

won't do it because it doesn't seem to rebuild the RRDs anymore. Why BTW?

Going through the README provided in the NfSen sources, it is suggested to
leave the
job to install.pl.

But we already have an installation and simply want to get the old data into
it. Is
it perhaps enough to call SetupRRD() from NfSenRRD.pm?

Or is the easiest way to copy the data, and then install the newer version of
NfSen
using install.pl?
