I think it does, though the behaviour of setrgid() is a inconsistent.

"$(" on line 296 in NfSen.pm calls "setrgid()" and then dies, but if we simply print "GID=$("; then there is no problem. ??

I have found a possible fix that I am now testing. Simply commenting out line 296, i.e., #$( = $www_gid; , allows nfsen to start. I should know later today whether this has any unwanted ramifications.

Thanks for your response,
Michael.

I have installed nfsen (and nfdump etc) on a mac running leopard

"nfsen start" produces:

Does it by any chance have anything to do with this problem
