Well, core was not on a DCVS yet so I gues moving to git makes most sense there as it also exposes it to the biggest developer audience via git. AFAIK in the DCVS poll a while ago most active committers voted for git or did I miss something? I'm not a committer but I really am glad with git as the repository type and github as host. It's fast like hell and very user friendly. Does it annoy you that core is now git based instead of mercurial? -- Ramon
