"doesn't make much sense" <= is only your point of view. I know ppl using: NH but with Castle.Validation NH but with VAB NH but with DataAnnotation IMO there is no sense to mix ORM configuration with logical/"physical" validation stuff. To work with NHV I have 0 files and for NH I have at least one application in production with 0 files and few C# lines.
