Hello Spencer, I hate it when that happens! Is that a retainer nut or is it a bolt? I have bolts on my bike but it is a 750. If it is a bolt, it can be removed via left hand drill method or an easy out bit. If that doesn't work for you than you can drill it out and re-tap it.
If it is a retainer nut than you can cut the rest of the bolt off at the base, drill and tap a hole and thread in a new bolt... that is a good way to fix it long as you can drill straight :) I say it's worth a try before you go looking for forks.
