I hot-wired my headlight circuit because as long as I use a high current draw bulb, it's only gonna' happen again. You'll need a wiring diagram and you just use one of the black wires (switched 12 volts) to feed the headlight circuit. Easy to do. Takes ten minutes. I use an external switch to shut off my headlight during start-up. What model ? I'll try for a wiring diagram.
