I wanted to ask about part of the frame on a 750, it's the first one I've been up and close to, and I can't find any pictures online which actually show what I'm interested in... on the right side of the bike, where the engine mount is on the downtube from the neck, the engine bracket has three bolts, and the frame is cut there with a small gap, but it looks uniform in style and fitment to the rest of the brackets and whatnot, so what I'm wondering, is the frame on other 1983 Nighthawk 750's cut there and joined with a three-bolt engine bracket?
I've got a closeup: http://derelict.dnsalias.com/media/nighthawk-frame.jpg http://derelict.dnsalias.com/media/nighthawk-frame-2.jpg (mostly the same as the first shot) If anyone could get back to me on this, I'd appreciate it! Again, it's the right side (throttle/brake side) near the top of the headers, all I've been able to discern from existing photos is that the one on the right has three bolts, but I'd like to know if the cut there in the frame is normal. -Josh (timhortons) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
