If H-D voids their warranty if you use another oil, they have to give it to you free. That is the law, unless it has been changed. So, if they make you pay, they are lying or pulling your leg. Some Amsoil customers were complaining to Amsoil about that very thing and a letter from their department to the auto company shut them up about the matter. They used Amsoil in their customer's car when requested after that. In the tests Amsoil paid for, with a reliable lab company, H - D oil performed more poorly than some automotive oils. So don't believe everything the Harley shops tell you about their machines. A good machine will hold up regardless of some neglect, because it is made well. Harleys break down not because of using the non-Harley stuff, but because they will, regardless. Hondas are like the probverbial Timex. They take abuse and keep on rolling. You know - it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'? Keep the rubber safely on the road and rollin'...
