There comes a point when some sort of explanation is in order. Without asking why you asked, a clutch that is always engaged is said to be "dragging" It does not open enough when it is disengaged. Barring an improper assembly we are left with two causes; improper adjustment or the use of a substance (in the oil) that caused the clutch lining to swell. A properly adjusted clutch has only .060" total of clearance. Typically there are seven sets of discs in a clutch (some less, some more) Half of those are of a material that is fibrous and can swell in the presence of certain chemicals. The only one I am certain of is STP. The net result of it's use is a clutch that does not disengage and slips. I am not aware of any other oil or additive that can cause this. I see many bikes with all kind of magical oils and have yet to see any clutch problems arise. Past all the hype, clean oil is still the best.

Call them and ask, because all their oils are formulated differently. They at Amsoil do recommend 20-50 for some bikes, but I think they are Harleys, Beuels (spelling - ?), and some others. Hondas and several others, if I recollect rightly, take a lighter grade.
