all very good points... just being a former welder i would probably make a
cradle for the rear swing arm  and bold it in place (with another hole in
the swing arm) rather then trust a "bent piece of plate"... i know that the
bent tab would be stronger then a welded tab as well, but i would probably
trust it more... ive just had bad expirences trusting a bent tab type of
situation
