Remove the bleeder valve and stick a wire down through it and clean out the junk that is blocking it.

I am getting very annoyed i rebuild my front master cylinder and front caliper hooked it all back up and i can't get any fluid out of the bleeder valve the brake pad isn't even moving i don't know what i'm doing wrong i pumped the crap out of the handle and still nothing i can't figure it out does the bike need to be running? or what can i be doing wrong
