I know if TEXANS let it slide.it will work anywhere. And road rage really
began in TX, it's the center of the world.

Ron,

Road rage? That amazing. I live Houston, TX. where they probably have
invented road rage. I've not heard of any reports about angry drivers and
modulated head lights. Who ever doesn't like it will just have to get over
it. "You sweep your side of the street and I'll sweep mine"

Ross that was a note from a friend of mine.a friend of a friend. but
alarming just the same. But the modulator is a good idea. Anything that
increases visibility. I have looked into them too. The down side of the
modulator is it ticks people off and you get road rage. You can put a bypass
switch on the handlebars that stops the modulation at stop lights. I have
heard the new cycle training is to move your body from left to right, near
moving traffic that increased you space of visibility. I swing wide in
intersection too when appropriate.

Dear Pastor Ron,

Sorry for the loss of your friend. I've been thinking about installion a
head light modulator. It makes the headlight "modulate on/off". I have
seen these on other bikes and they do attract attention and you can see them
for quite a distance.

I wanted to share this story with you, after our discussion on the color
yellow. I had asked about his yellow ST1300

Hi Ron,

I do not know the exact color yellow as I bought the bike already painted
yellow. My friend bought a 2006 Yamaha R1 Anniversary Edition. That
metallic yellow is absolutly beautiful.

I do have one regret... I was riding 150' behind my friend (Ducati Monster
620 Dark) doing 40 - 45 mph when an opposing driver made a U turn in front
of us. I was immediately full on the brakes. My friend hit the U turner
and died 2 weeks later. The drivers statement, "I saw the yellow bike."

My ST1100 has no markings except a Chiquita sticker and a Safety Third
sticker.

A typical conversation....

"What is it?"

1993 Honda ST1100

"It really looks good. I didn't think it was that old."

Fresh paint

"Why the Chiquita sticker?"

I'm an old fart. I got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana
peel.

"Safety Third? What's that about?"

Well... A Safety First person would not get on one of these things.
