That seems to be the most common complaint regarding oiled filters. It is my 
understanding that it is best to oil & let is set or hang for 1/2 a day. This 
allows any excess oil to drip off. I have a couple on cars & need to clean one 
of them. That is the way I intend to go about re- oiling.
