Looks like everybody has at least one bent lever story.

Mine came when I tried to get cute and pop the bike up on the
centerstand while still astride it. I had pulled it off successfully
several times before, but this time I neglected to notice I was on a
slight left incline.

Stayed with it almost to the bitter end, but had to tuck and roll away
at the last instant. Clutch lever took the hit and rolled almost into
a perfect circle. Rode it that way for a couple days, then tried to
bend it back. It snapped in half. Even three-finger clutched for
another couple days before finally giving up and replacing it.
