Valerie,

I went with a less expensive front tire once. Big mistake. It didn't last
that long and made my bike mushy. When I went to my mechanic and asked him
about it he apologized, gave me my new tire at cost and mounted my new tire
for free. He was talked into trying them by another customer and is now
very picky.

I switched to the Bridgestone *Battlax* tires both front and rear. They
are sticky enough, get great wear and I'm very happy with them. I'm not
sure how much I pay but I think they are in the $100 to $120 which is good
for Hawaii.
