I did my 2002 750 nighthawk. You can do it. Carefully remove them. By carefully I mean be observant of where the cables go. Then just wrestle them out. Once you've done that cleaning them is the easy part. Don't dismantle them from the rack, clean one at a time. By the time you get to # 4, you'll be doing it blind folded. Don't be afraid of having to wrestle with them getting them out and back in the bike. I use 1 X 2s 18 - 24 inches long to lever them in and out, Graham
