You may be on to something there. Now that I think about it, I neglected to 
check the oil level before I left. I did a complete oil and filter change 
within the last 600 miles and haven't really looked at it. I still feel 
like that's quite a bit of oil loss, right? 
I'll definitely make a point to check it weekly and keep track of how much 
I'm adding.

What does one black spark plug point to? Clymer says, worn rings, pistons, 
valve guides or bearings. Any way to narrow that down with out major 
surgery?
