I'm happy to say yesterday I was able to ... - clean out the slave cylinder (looked exactly like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Our06ujTto8) - replace seals ($15 ebay kit referenced above) - put back on - buy new (4x12 flat head) screws & vinyl tubing at Tru Value - drill off reservoir screws - bleed out clutch line (basically all air) ... similar to this video except I had 15 minutes of "air pumping" and 2 minutes of my father-in-law sucking the vinyl tubing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwVEz8uoJfo - put back together ... walk back in house ... realize Tommy's screws were waiting for me already in an envelope (sometimes my wife "forgets" to show me the mail :) ... walk back out ... replace brake and clutch tops with Tommy's screws (black on black!!!) - Fire it up ... Honda perfection ... no more herky jerky or sponge / air clutch - Ride .... excellent October day with my jacket / shades. - Drink beer with father-in-law
