( Don't get me wrong here. I recognize that sensitivity to others is a
product of advanced civilization and a product of compassion for others,
unless your activism is just for activism's sake.)

Oh yeah, where I call home, the culture wears sensitivity like a badge of
honor. We're proud of being uber-sensitive about everything, and
legislating it, from who gets to use what bathrooms to saving
trees/whales/environment and whether or not you should use color in your
software because some people are color-blind.

So, since it's a common thread in the Northwest left coast, to be thinking
that way, I notice it, and I'll joke about it now and then.
