I don't know, but it sounds like your question is about the engine to the air box, and Kyle's answer is from the air box to the ground. On my bikes, I just pull off the hose since it's only held on by clips and take a look. Considering the diameter of the hose, it's hard to see it plugging. It's only a ventilation hose, AFAIK.
