Hello Michael,

I got my 80-200 AF-S Nikkor about 10 days ago and the TC-14E already a
bit longer.
The 80-200 manual states as well as the TC-E as the TC-B converters as
usable accessoires. However there is nothing mentioned on the
AF-operation!
I have tested the 80-200 AF-S with the TC-14E (on both a F5 and F90) and
autofocus works well (a little bit slower than without the converter,
but still amazingly fast, compared to the older 80-200).
The manual for the TC-14E (which is the same for the TC-20E) states the
following:
"when using a F5, F4 series, F/N90 series and F/N70 series camera body
both autofocus and manual focus using electronic rangefinder are
possible with an AF-I/AF-S Nikkor lens having maximum aperture of f/4 or
brighter (f/2.8 or brighter for the TC-20E). For darker lenses, focus
manually without using electronic rangefinder".
This manual states also that the AF-I converters (the TC-14E and TC-20E)
are designed exclusively for use with AF-I and AF-S Nikkor lenses. Other
lenses cannot be attached.
I hope this information helps and good luck with the 80-200 AF-S.
Greetings,

Marc Raes, Belgium.
