I'm beginning to wonder if there is such a thing as a Konica Hexar.  I've
been looking for one for over a year.  People claim to have seen one, but
no one seems to have any real evidence that it exists.  Sort of like Yeti
and Sasquatch...

Leigh, before you buy a point and shoot, think about buying an older (read
inexpensive) AF SLR (F501/N2020, etc.) with a fast 28 or 35 AF lens - or,
if you wish, a zoom.  You will have a camera system you can build on, an
excellent backup for an existing system, an investment that will not
depreciate 50% when you walk out of the store, and you may have a few more
bucks in your pocket.

Just two cents worth of alternatives.
