I use the Nikon SD-8 battery pack for my SB-24's (same type as the 26 and 28's). It uses 6 AA batteries and really speeds up the recycle time in addition to giving many more flashes per set of batteries. With this rig, I can get as many shots as I want of a bride coming down an aisle - no problems. Outdoors, in fill-flash mode, I can essentially go low speed motor drive and the unit recharges to full output. Also, I have read posts where if you use a battery pack other than a Nikon and you burn up your flash, your warranty may be voided. Good luck. Steve Crist
