Subject: "pro"-models and pop-up flash [24]

Dear Thomas

>I am going to buy a new body ....... FE2. I do not need 117 fancy exposure

I would go for the F70, although there are rumors that it is going to be
replaced by the F100. If you are looking at an AF then, you are stuck with
the 100+ programs, but you don't have to use them, just because it is
there. The fact that you want pop up flash and use you old AIS lenses
means that you have only two choices:

F601 (N6006 in the USA)
or
F70 (N70 in the USA)

The F601 is older and slower, flash is 1 guide less, 13 or something like
that, but handles like the FE/FM 2's that you are familiar with.
Understand that the F70 can be a little confusing at first as compared to
the F601, but then, as far as I am concern, ANY AF is confusing!
Personally I am getting the F70 to use as an expensive point and shoot
camera! Armed with a 28-200mm, it a great traveling and kiddy shoot
camera. Anything more serious, I am taking out my FM2 or EL!
