Dear Riccardo:

I would suggest that you consider the FM2n.
It is the ultimate (affordable) manual backup
body. The fact that it remains in production
today after some 16 years attests to its per-
formance. (Only the F3 beats that record and
that by only one year.)

With no battery (the only thing the battery
does is operate the built-in light meter),
you get shutter speeds from bulb to 1/4000.

Flash sync is up to 1/250.

Exposure lock -- of course!

For compensation, simply adjust your speed,
aperture or film speed to your liking. The
exposure display in the viewfinder has plus
or minus indicators which mark the 1 EV com-
pensation points. You can estimate intermediate
compensations by moving the matching exposure
needle within those ranges.
