Didn't understand that thing completely. But it sounds like: ``two modes to inverse the effect of a shift key'', i.e. in one mode it is a shift key, in the other mode it is an unshift key. (A shift key that is pressed together with some other function key) Apparently a `reverse the direction of a dial' is not really covered by that - unless you can activate it using a shift key.
