Your best bet for Nikon equipment would be shipping it
back to Nikon USA for repair. There are very few shops
locally, and no Nikon authorized repair centers that I
know of. If you wish, try Photocine Servicecenter.
They repaired a lens once and did an adequate job.

(1-800-645-6678) I believe they'll give you the
address of their repair facility in Torrance, CA.
