Rick Sullivan responded to Nicholas Ragovis by saying: >Nikon also still makes the N6006 which many people really like. It >doesn't have as advanced an autofocus module as the N70, but certainly >more so than the 2020. It's really a very nice camera. If I'm not mistaken, Nikon has officially discontinued the N6006/F601camera about 6 months ago. So finding a new one may be a bit of a chore. I have a F601 that I use in conjunction with my F90X and FE bodies and I certainly agree with Rick's statements regarding this camera. The N6006/F601is a great camera (see some of my past posts in the archives) This camera actually hung around about 3 years longer than was expected. It was originally intended to be discontinued and replaced by the N70/F70 but many people liked the N6006/F601camera better due to the controls being easier to use. I think for sheer AF performance I would go with the much newer N70/F70 but don't discount the N6006/F601 if you are looking for some great features (standard cable release, auto bracketing, flash features built into the body). >Consider also that with a Nikon body you already have three lenses and >the N2020 as a back up body, with the Pentax you have to start over. I also agree with Rick on this point, as he pointed out you already have lenses and a camera in the Nikon system so check out either the N70/F70 or the N6006/F601cameras.
