Greetings Andrew (the administrator of this mailing list), Bradley, Marc and
fellow Nikon users,

The Chinese New Year (Feb 16) is almost at hand. To all, Happy Chinese
New Year. Back to Nikon stuff....

>backup/travel body. Will my AF lenses (20mm/f2.8 and 85mm/f1.8) work on
this body?

Yes, your AF lenses will couple and meter nicely with the EM, Bradley.
But you loose the AF capabilities. But the split screen should enable you
to attain correct focus as your AF lenses are pretty fast and bright.

I am currently using all my AF-D lenses on my Nikon FA. Except for no AF,
everything's great and my standard of shooting have not dropped.

>What does this point mean? (I am thinking that it may be some indication of
>the hyperfocal distance.... but I don't know how I should use it....)

I don't think so, Marc. I think the red dot refers to the infra-red (IR)
focusing point. That is to say, if you're using IR film, first focus as you
would normally, then move move the correct focusing distance to the red dot.
This is because IR light does not focus on the same plane or distance as
normal white light.

  Cheers, maties!

Regards,
Deric Soh.
