In V4/243, Carlo Guerrero wrote that he had a Nikon wish list. It
included the following:

SB-26, with

I'm satisfied with my SB-26. I wish more important thing, shorter recycle
time (similar to SB-23)

> 2. 50mm f/1.0D AF-S

Who need such a lens? It will be bulky and expensive. And what can you
shoot with such a shallow DOF at f/1.0 ? I have yet to see sharp lens at
f/1.0 (Canon had 50/0.95 for their rangefinder cameras and it was not
particularly sharp). And last but not least, why AF-S? To add cost? 50mm is
short enough to be fast enough with current "old fashioned" Nikon AF.

> 3. 300mm f/4.0D AF-S (or VR "Vibration Reduction" lens)
OK.

> 4. 20-35mm f/2.8D AF-S (or 18-35mm f/2.8D AF-S)
I would rather see 20-35/2.8 without AFS gimmicks for let's say $ 500

> 5. 35mm f/1.4D AF-S (or 28mm f/1.4D AF-S)
Again, there is no need for AF-S in such a short focal lenght. Of course AF
35/1.4 would be nice (like old AIS 35/1.4 was)

> 6. 85mm f/1.4D AF-S
OK, but not necessary. I would prefer plain 85/1.4D at lower price.

> 7. Digital back for F5
I would rather see an advertisment for free of charge service that will
enable my F5 to illuminate focusing sensor in use.

> 8. MF-30 databack for F100
not interested in.

> 9. Final version of Photosecretary II for F100 (I hope it has full access
to both F5 and F100 > custom functions and more.)
I'm not computer guy, just taking pictures. Hence not interested in
software gimmicks. How many rolls you shoot yearly? Do you really need such
an improvement?
