I could make 38 films (36 frames, 20degrees Celcius) with 50% AF and only
short lenses, 30%manual rewind.

unfortunately I got only 8 to max. 12 films out of new alkalines - sent my
F5 in _several_ times to Nikon Germany- they only were rude and didn't
solve the problem explaining me that I used the wrong lenses (!?!?) using
to much energy in AF mode. I only use short fixed focal lenses or MF lenses
in the short range and for only 1% of my pics an AF300/4 with AF, an mf28
all the time.
Don't expect too much from Nikon regarding the F5 and battery drainage!

just my bad experience!

PS now I am charging NiMH cells every week (get also 8-12 films out of
them).
