Hi Christopher,
I think that your choice depends on several factors.
If you want to complete your range of lenses, it obviously leads to the
20mm (but I doubt this is the case, since you own the 24mm end of
the zoom already).
In the case you want to go for the best quality available, consider
that both lenses are very good lenses (maybe the 20 is a bit better and
the 20 AFD is better than the 20 AF).
Then the choice between the focal lengths depends on the subjects of
your photography.
My experience is that for general use my 24mm is more versatile.
I like mountain landscapes, and I found 20mm to be too wide: the
mountains turn out to be too small and in the far distance.
You have also to be very careful in composing when straight lines are
included in the frame and I found difficult to use it with people.
OTOH I like very much the "far-near" effect of the extreme wide angle
the astonishing appearance of a slightly clouded sky, and the impressive
"in the action" effect characteristic of many pj works.
