The new 28-105/3.5-4.5D is not AF-S, just AF-D.
I can't read Japanese, but my tentative guesses/inferences
from this page,
http://www.nikon.co.jp/main/jpn/whatsnew/af28105_98.htm
are that the lens has:
o 9 aperture blades
o 12 groups of 16 elements
o a "macro" mode in focal lengths 50-105mm that gives
1:2.74 (50mm) to 1:2 (105mm).
o 62mm filter
