I am in the market for some Nikkor lenses which cover everything from 24mm to around 80mm. Optical quality (sharpness, contrast and distortion/curvature) is my first concern and build quality is a close second. I am also a big fan of constant-aperture zoom lenses, although they do not have to be fast (although most are). I am thinking of a used 35-70/2.8D and a used 24/2.8D, with the possibility of a 28/2.8 should I feel the need for a 28mm lens. I'd also appreciate comments about the 24-120 (and the 24-50) in regards to its build quality and its optical performance (including distortion... I have the Minolta 24-85 and while the sharpness is great, I don't appreciate bowed horizons). Since these lenses will be primarily for landscapes, AF performance (or AF at all) is not an issue. The new 28-70/2.8 AF-S is out of my price range, as is the 20-35/2.8. Finally, is there a good web-based resource for all (or most) Nikon F-mount lenses? I have been through many lens test archives which aren't very comprehensive. Thanks in advance, Dan Nelson
