I haven't used the N60 much, but I do own an N70, and I think it's great. I
didn't even need the manual to figure out the interface (although I must
admit reading the Pop Photo article many a time:-). One *major* thing that
turned me off from the N60 was it's inability to couple with non-AF lenses.
Also (correct me if I am wrong), but I don't believe the N60 works in AF
mode with AF-S lenses.

I would definately say to go with the N70, especially considering the
circumstances.
