> Now the F100 is an upgrade of the N90s, and the N80 (when it comes out) > will be an upgrade of the 6006/N70 line. I'm less sure about that. (F401, F601, F801[s])->(F50, F70, F90[x])->(F60, F80, F100) sounds logical but: o The F100 is a professional body (officially). The F90x was as well, but the F90 and F801[s] were not considered so (by Nikon). The F100 is also much more expensive than the F801 was. o If the F100 was the first body in the Nikon line with high speed flash synch and DOF preview (things that all experts and enthousiast amateurs may desire), then Nikon is getting pretty expensive and will lose more market shares vs Minolta and Canon. o I think that one camera per market is enough: F60 for beginners and/or point and shooter, F80 for enthousiasts (i.e. poeple that would like an F5 or F100 but don't want to pay the price) and professionals (whose needs may be very much differents, hence the FM2n, F3, F100 and F5). In that perspective, I really hope Nikon puts a DOF preview lever on its F80 (a built-in flash would not hurt, though). Unless they keep the F90x around at a low[er] price. But, still, a wider AF sensor would not hurt on the latter. Nicolas.
