In reply to the Velvia question-
according to a site that I have read Velvia 50 is actually ASA rate
at 40 ASA. Slide film when it is underexposed becomes more color
saturated, so Fuji over rates Velvia a little bit so that it has good color
saturation. However, print film CANNOT be underexposed to produce more
saturation. So don't tell your printer anything different and don't change
the the film speed of Velvia.

PS. you can underexpose other slide films to saturate the film a little bit
more.
