Dear Sadanand, refering to the "Nikon Pocket Book" written by Peter Braczko your 1.4/35 lens is the latest version build since 1982. From now on the 1.4/35 was an AIS-lens. The first serial Number of this version is 430 001. So I assume that your sample was build somewhat in 1984 or 1985, 12899 samples later than the first one.
