John,

as the bands are vertical and not horizontal, it is not likely due to a
faulty shutter but rather to a light leak in the camera. Most probably
near the right take-up spool. Check the foam in the film chamber.
Hopefully, this will be the problem and the repair cost should be low.
I have such a problem with an old Minox 35 (a tiny vertical blue stripe)
which turns me crazy because I can't find the origin of the leak.
