To offer the prices the mail order retailers do, they have to have a large
volume and a nearly automatic process for filling orders. If the order isn't
right, the best thing to do is send it back and let them try again. By asking
for just the documents, the request is out of the usual routine and likely to
get messed up. Tom at least got to talk to someone. I allowed Cambridge to
back order a Sigma 70-210 in Leica mount. After  numerous times left on hold,
2 registered letters, and 15 years, I'm still waiting for my lens. I'm not
ordering from them again until I get my lens! B & H, on the other hand, has
always taken time to talk to me when I was concerned about orders, none of
which were a tenth the size of Tom's. Tom should call for an RMA and ship the
camera back. He may have a problem because he waited so long. Good luck Tom!
