Michael,

There are only two differences between F801 and F801s cameras.
        - F801s has spot metering
        - F801s has new AF system

F801(s) has no LCD illumination.

Differences between F801s and F90x:
        F90x pluses:
        - 3d matrix metering,
        - faster film advance,
        - faster AF motor,
        - cross AF sensor,
        - uses AF-S lenses,
        - remote port,
        - lot of programs,
        - sincronise at 2. curtain

        F801(s) pluses
        - +-2 EV analog scale (instead +-1 EV of F90x)
        - multiple exposure without MF back.

I have an F801s and I'm contented with it. I hope it helps.
With best wishes,
Zoltan
