I've been using the SD-8 for at least 8 years and can't live without them! They are used on both SB-24s and SB-26s. I use AA alkiline batteries and can shoot easily 15-20 rolls with a single set of batteries and still get fast recycling (under 5 seconds). I have not tried lithium batteries in mine since alkiline batteries are very inexpensive where I buy them. The size is about 60mm x 15mm x 125mm more or less and can fit in my hip pocket with or without the soft case. I used a SB-24/SD-8 combo at a wedding a month ago on my Hasselblad with motor, etc. and walked-off with the SD-8 in my pocket after setting down the camera. Luckily, the camera was grabbed by the SD-8 cable and it didn't crash. The cable didn't break and is still working:-) -- Later, Larry Angier Image West Photography See us on the web at www.angier-fox.com Those who trade freedom for safety deserve neither. —Thomas Jefferson Photography of the Rural West from the Heart of the Mother Lode, Amador County, California 209.223.2881 voice/fax [EMAIL PROTECTED]
