Backward and forward compatitbality

I have used 3rd party lense in the past before I have a Nikon Body.  As a
result, I am used to various mount for those lenses.  (i.e. Tamron,
Sigma, or Vivita for Nikon) 

To me, there is no excuse for Nikon not using a bigger/wider mount than F
mount on the future lense and provide an adaptor for the existing F
mount.
