hi mark,
i own this lens, and i love it. very good portrait lens, good for head
and shoulders or half body without getting too close and personal. very
sharp, and quite unflattering with facial 'defects'?! very shallow dof
when wide open, so focusing must be spot on. i mostly use it at f2.8, or
f4 for group shots. sorry i can't be more technical, i can only tell you
