I have a Nikkor AiS 35mm f2, Ser. No. 2357xx. My TC-16A instruction manual lens compatibility chart says it works with the 35mm f2 Ser. No. 931001 or higher. It implies that use of older lenses may damage the converter. Do any of you know specifically why it excludes older lenses like mine?
