Your earlier message is in fact correct! I use the non-D version of AF 50mm/f1.8 on my wife's N60. It also works with the built-in flash. The pictures came out fine with nice depth of field compared to the 35-80 AF lens. On page 33 of the F60/ F60D manual, it is stated that all the metering systems work except for 3D 6-segment matrix for non-D AF lenses. So the 6-segment matrix and centre-weighted metering work with all the focus systems available with F60.
