\--newruntime is hoped to be part of 1.0 but "orthogonal" to the rest of Nim since it's hidden behind a switch. It is expected to replace the ``--gc:none`` mode, likewise "quirky exceptions" are our answer to C++'s "-fnoexceptions" switch. After that, we can collect much more experience with it and we can decide on whether it's good enough to make it the default for Nim v2 or not.|
